1989 Volkswagen GTI race car!! SCCA ITA certi

The car is a 1989 VW GTI with a 1.8 liter, 16 valve engine which runs in the SCCA, ITA class. I haven’t updated the log book since 2008 but everything should stand up to a current yearly inspection. It has the following equipment:

A stacked dash with beacon.
· Fresh engine with zero hours just prepared by Alex Job Racing. It is a stock bottom end with new stock rods but with ported heads and special racing cams on the top end. No time on on fresh motor

· The gearbox was just gone through last year and has less than 8 hours on it. It has a Quaif differential.

· It comes with many spare parts and 5 sets of wheels, Engine small parts & gaskets, brakes, electrical, axles, belts, hoses, etc. the things that usually break at the track.

Koni coil over shocks all around.
Two slight rubbing dents and a tiny bit of rust on the rear window frame. Other than that the car is in immaculate shape, both mechanically and physically.
· Good first car. Complete with everything you need to go the track!!

The auction is for the car and spares only. The trailer is avaiable for purchase seperately with the car if you wish. The trailer was built in 1992. Its a tandem axle with pull out aluminum ramps, tire and wheel rack, golf cart space and tool box. All tires have recently been replaced on the trailer. I will be selling the trailer for an additional $1800.00. Please do not ask me to just sell the trailer. I will not sell the trailer without the car.
